Bertram's Story
I attended school in Los Padillas,La Jolla,AHS in Alberquerque, and GHS in Gallup New Mexico
I left New Mexico in1959 and moved to California. I worked as a carpenter until I went into the Navy. When I got out I went back to school to finish my High School, then on to college. I meet my first wife in 1964 and married in the fall of 1965. 2007 We had two children a son now 41 and a daughter now 40. Both are married and my son has a 7 year old son, and my daughter has a 18 year old daughter. I lost my first wife Mary to cancer in 2001. In 2003 I meet and married my current wife Isabel. She is from Chile and all of her family live there ( 5 brothers and 5 sisters.) Now we have a home in Boise Idaho and another in Chile just south of Santiago. We spend from April through September in Boise and October till April in Chile. ...Expand for more
She took what she could get with a divorce in 2013.
So we are in late spring to early fall all year. My daughter lives in California and my son in Arizona.
I love to travel and sight see. I have been in 49 of the 50 States, the only hold out hasbeen South Dekota. I have not seen as much of Canada as I would like. I have seen parts of the West Coast of Mexico. Argentina, Chile, Spain, Portugal, and Indonesia. I love to read now which is strange for those who knew me in High School.
My parents have both passed away and so has my sister Rose. My brother Robert now lives in Texas and my sister Bonnie lives in California. We all are retired and use e-mail, telephone, and Skype to stay in touch.
That is my story and I am sticking to it. If you have questions please write to me. I still live in Idaho.
